Location: End of North Nechako Road on the Gravel

Route Description: The route starts off with a decent climb up Takla Road then goes through a bit of marsh where some water can be expected before moving to a mix of gravel and road until you start heading around Eskers. The loop around Eskers has some sandy sections until you get to Chief Lake Road then you head back down Takla to the start.

Support: This is a self-supported ride. Feel free to start earlier if you feel you need the time or later if you feel you don’t need the time. There are often some smaller water sources on the route but bring your own filter. You are also responsible for your own mechanical needs and any pickup or communication that is needed on the route.

ALT Shorter Route

If you’re looking for a shorter route because you like to take it slower then see the route below. It’s suggested you start at 8am as well and those on the longer route will likely catch you so you can join the main group for part of the ride. Meet at the junction of Chief Lake Road and Ness Lake Road.
